We are a non profit organization based in Columbia, MD. Our mission is to use the power of generosity to improve lives by giving access to food, showers and clean water. We focus on providing food and showers to the homeless in America and in Africa, we bring clean drinking water to people in rural communities. • Help grow GG as a strong and unique brand with a consistent voice across-platforms (e.g. web, audio, video) by creating content for web, Facebook, Instagram and other platforms.
• You think strategically about how each piece of content will work together with a provided visual (image or video), caption, music etc. across each platform.
• Pushing boundaries. We’re not here to show people videos of homeless persons using our shower truck or some kid drinking dirty water.
• Bring new ideas and passion. You’ll work with the founder and other team members. We want you to put your vision into this while building up a cohesive brand.
• Develop and lead brand strategies. Bring our mission, story and impact to life by creating a dynamic vision for each story. Lead the team.
• College student with a background or interest in nonprofits, social media management, or other relevant fields
• Rockstar multi-tasker that can prioritize
• Innovative, strategic, and analytical thinker
• Critical and creative thinker with a desire to think outside the box
• Enthusiastic, driven, proactive, and willing to bring new ideas to the table
• Outgoing personality and communication skills are a must
• Has a passion for mission-driven causes
• Must be available to commit 15-20 hours each week
• Works with and assists graphic designer/Motion Graphic artist, and communication manager
• generate, edit, schedule, publish, share, and manage engaging social media content daily across all of our accounts

• Assistwith fundraising events
• Responding to donor, volunteer, and other supporters’ emails and phone calls in a timely manner and monitor customer reviews
• Assist individual fundraisers and their campaigns
• Providing writing and editing support on social media and other marketing materials
• Perform research on current benchmark trends and audience preferences
• Design and implement social media strategy to align with our business goals
• Set specific objectives for posts
• Monitor SEO and web traffic metrics
• Collaborate with other teams, like marketing, sales and customer service to ensure brand consistency
• Oversee social media accounts’ design (e.g. Facebook timeline cover, profile pictures and blog layout)
• Suggest and implement new features to develop brand awareness, like promotions and competitions
• Stay up to date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications
• Have a thorough understanding of the inner-workings of a hyper-focused, mission-driven non-profit organization
